Emergency Contraception
Emergency hormonal contraception (EHC) more commonly known as the "morning after pill" is available from us with or without a prescription. EHC must be taken with 72 hours of unprotected sex, otherwise you should visit a contraceptive, sexual health, or GUM clinic, or your doctor's surgery as soon as possible. There is currently a charge for EHC if you do not have a prescription.
If you need emergency hormonal contraception you will have a private consultation with one of our specially trained pharmacists within the pharmacy's private consultation room. You'll be asked some general medical questions to make sure emergency hormonal contraception is right for you. We will never ask about the circumstances which have led to you seeking contraception advice.
